http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin ... 32376.html

http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/wii/review/R132379.html

http://steamcommunity.com/app/8870/disc ... 5124223702

Und wer dem Link nicht folgen will, tue ich es hier nochmals her:

Spoilers ahead!
Ursprünglich geschrieben von Crossy NZ:
I found Bioshock 1 to be the most "cohesive" - the story was quick and engaging, coupled with an amazing aesthetic, fun gameplay, and the ♥♥♥♥ery was playing with human relationships, not so much time and space. Things also got a better lead-in; vigors, are probably the most glaring example, as they don't really get explained in Bioshock Infinite - they're just there.

I thought Elizabeth was well done, though. She could have easily been the most annoying tag-a-long “protect your mascot” character in the game, but she was handled with humour and gameplay that made her useful in a fight as opposed to a liability.
I concur. (Couldn't have said it any better).

I'd like to add the following:
Bioshock 1 was also a meta-game about objecitvism and tells the story of a failing objectivist society very skilfully. Rapture itself tells a story, and a good one.

Columbia on the other hand is not more than a backdrop (Ken Levine effectively said so). Sure, it is racist, fundamentalist etc, but there is not much explaining. That is just the way it is. There is even hardly any meta-commentary on it, it is presupossedly evil, that's it.

Again, the revolutionaries in Rapture have depth, their own story and ideology.
In Columbia they have a valid point, fighting for freedom and such. But suddenly they go overboard (in a parallel universe, but isn't everythin in Columbia?), become as bad as those they fight (or even worse). Again, there is hardly any story, a "welsher is a welsher". (whatever a Welsher is. Somebody from Wales or a the people who speak Rotwelsch?)

Basically everthing serves as a vehicle to transport the Booker/Elisabeth(/Anna/Comstock/Lutece) Story. Especially the multiple worlds.
(Again, this is how I understood Ken Levine and how I felt the game is).

This family constellations (Bert Hellinger) works very fine and definitely is one of the best told stories in video games I have played. (and I played a lot and I am old, trust me). Of course it is that good, because as I've said: Everything else just serves this purpose.

What I would have liked more on why Comstock, who wanted to get away from sin, became a racist dictator, but I missed about a dozen voxophones.

From a pure FPS point, I liked all 3 Bioshocks the same.

But as a whole Bioshok 1 is my favorite.
